GOOD GRIEF, 2025

Good Grief is a multimedia experience that reflects public and private grievances, indirectly referencing conversations, movements, love, and distress of the past two years. The nine double-sided yard signs form part poem and part anecdote, offering context to each other, forming the One Year Poem. The poem exists as an exhibition and a public gesture that is scattered and adopted by volunteer participants in several states across the United States.

One Year Poem

we fight hope against hope

(Listen Down)

with a knife that does not cut but, spreads

(Lesbian Fantasies)

with a sweet long distant hug across wide

(An Army of Ex-Lovers Cannot Be Defeated)

the candle is out, and i made a wish

(I'm a Worry Wart) too many to count (No Narcs)

1...2.3, i see you!

(Queer Bar)

neatly tucked, bound to the curtain

(Dream Bigger)

look outside, suns out, guns out.

(:0)

it may sound silly but, i need you.

(Rut Row)
